Volunteers & Events

League

The League is a group of over 300 men and women who help raise money to support the organization, present educational programs for children, and build new audiences for the performing arts.

The League presents several fundraising events each year including Corporate Night and a local business Gala.

Members of the League also spend a significant amount of time planning and organizing educational programs for children. Members also enjoy many social activities throughout each season, including League meetings, area events, receptions, pre-event dinners and more.

Membership Requirements

1. Pay annual dues of $100
2. Contribute to the Annual Fund with a minimum of $100
3. Support the organization by concert attendance
4. Participate as a chair or member of at least one committee each year
5. Financially support at least one project or fundraising event each year
6. Attend at least one League meeting each year

Docents

Volunteers provide weekly tours to visitors of Metropolitan Hall.  Tours are conducted on Mondays and by appointment on Wednesdays and Saturdays.  A training program is available to volunteers with support from experienced volunteers during the training period. We also provide a more rigorous training program for those interested in participating in our in-school docent programs.
